Data Protection

The school is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and personal information is kept in the strictest confidence. The school’s Privacy Notice to students, which is issued on admission, explains the range and purpose of information that is collected. This information about pupils is used to:


  • Support teaching and learning
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress
  • Provide appropriate pastoral care
  • Assess how well the school is doing


Schools are required by law to pass some pupil information to the Local Authority and the Department for Education.
