Our Aims, Ethos and Vision 2022

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
At Woodridge we are happy, creative and aim high!

AIMS AND ETHOS OF THE SCHOOL

Woodridge Primary School aims to develop well-educated, happy children who have developed a love of learning, independence, initiative and understanding of others through our School Values, in preparation for adult life.

We aim:

  •  to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, based on a whole school approach ensuring continuity, adapted teaching and progression for each child, with our curriculum Golden Threads of Blue Sky Thinking and Diversity
  • to cater for each child’s social and personal development, including their moral and spiritual development
  • to celebrate success and help EVERY child to discover their strengths
  • to establish a strong partnership with parents, other schools and the wider community, encouraging two-way communication and involvement
  • to provide equality of opportunity for all

We provide a caring, supportive environment for all staff and children.  We want Woodridge to be a friendly place where everyone is made to feel welcome, valued and able to make a positive contribution to the life of the school.

VISION 2022

In 2017, the governors, along with school leaders and other staff created a strategic document to plan the course of school development over the next 5 years - this document is known as Vision 2022.

Vision 2022 includes Our Purpose, Our Values and Four Strategic Objectives that drive all our School Improvement work. This also includes Key Performance Indicators.

Underneath these four objectives are four building blocks - Finance, Recruitment and Retention, Premises and Technology and Resources which underpin the four Strategic Objectives.

Please take time to read our Vision 2022 document attached below.
