Woodridge Together - Voluntary Giving

Woodridge Together: Voluntary Giving Programme

We are delighted to re-launch our voluntary giving programme, designed to enhance your child's education and overall experience at Woodridge Primary School. We believe that with your support, we can make the Woodridge experience truly exceptional, and that's why we're inviting you to contribute to Woodridge Together through monthly donations. This approach is a common and successful model adopted by many state schools in our area.

At Woodridge, our goal is to nurture happy, well-rounded, and emotionally intelligent children. We strive to instill in them a thirst for learning, resilience for life, and the essential skills needed for the next stages of their education. While our school offers a wonderful educational environment, like all state-funded, one-form entry schools, we face ongoing financial challenges. Your support is crucial to ensure the continued success of our school and to maintain the highest standards of education for every child.

Woodridge Together: Investing in Their Future

Woodridge Together (formerly the Woodridge Together Fund) is our initiative for regular voluntary giving. Your generosity is an investment in your child's crucial formative years, where their learning and the school environment play a fundamental role in their development. The funds raised through Woodridge Together will directly support:

  • Purchasing essential learning resources.
  • Maintaining our school building and site.
  • Subsidising rising utility bills.
  • Maintaining appropriate staffing levels.

It's important to note that the Woodridge Together programme is entirely separate from the fundraising efforts of the Woodridge School Association (WSA), such as the Summer Fete, Christmas Bazaar, and Quiz Night.

As part of this re-launch, we are committed to providing you with regular updates on how your contributions are being used and the positive impact they are having on our school and pupils.

How Your Contribution Makes a Difference

Imagine the collective impact if every family contributed! Here are just a few examples of what Woodridge Together could achieve:

  • £20 per month could provide sets of exercise books for two classes for a year.
  • £20 per month could cover the cost of whiteboard pens for two classes for a year.
  • £30 per month could pay for one month’s water supply for the school for a year.
  • £30 per month could fund a year's worth of Art & Design resources.
  • £50 per month could supply the school with A4 copying paper for a year.
  • £50 per month could cover the photocopier lease for a year.
  • £80 per month could pay for a year’s supply of school cleaning materials.
  • £1400 could pay for one month's supply of gas and electricity.

We understand that not every family is in a position to contribute, and there is absolutely no pressure to do so. However, if you have the means, we kindly ask you to give generously and help us build the strongest possible foundations for your child's education. It's never too late to contribute, so please consider taking action today. For those able to make larger contributions, we encourage you to give as deeply as you can.

For our UK taxpayers, we can significantly boost your contribution through Gift Aid, which increases eligible donations by 25% from the government at no extra cost to you.
