Our Aims, Ethos and Vision 60

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
At Woodridge we are happy, creative and aim high!

AIMS AND ETHOS OF THE SCHOOL

Woodridge Primary School aims to develop well-educated, happy children who have developed a love of learning, independence, initiative and understanding of others through our School Values, in preparation for adult life.

We aim:

  •  to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, based on a whole school approach ensuring continuity, adapted teaching and progression for each child, with our curriculum Golden Threads of Blue Sky Thinking and Diversity
  • to cater for each child’s social and personal development, including their moral and spiritual development
  • to celebrate success and help EVERY child to discover their strengths
  • to establish a strong partnership with parents, other schools and the wider community, encouraging two-way communication and involvement
  • to provide equality of opportunity for all

We provide a caring, supportive environment for all staff and children.  We want Woodridge to be a friendly place where everyone is made to feel welcome, valued and able to make a positive contribution to the life of the school.

VISION 60

In 2017, the governors, along with school leaders and other staff created a strategic document to plan the course of school development for the next 5 years - this document was known as Vision 2022. This document was reviewed an updated in 2023 and is known as Vision 60 and looks ahead to the school's 60th Birthday in 2027.

Vision 60 includes Our Purpose, Our Values and Four Strategic Objectives that drive all our School Improvement work.

Please take time to read our Vision 60 document attached below.
